Anjou

Flavor Profile Abundant juice and sweet flavor when ripe. Anjou pears do not change color as they ripen.

Anjou pear, also known as Green Anjou or D‘Anjou, is one of the most common and recognizable pears. It is excellent eaten fresh, but also versatile for baking, roasting, and slicing fresh into salads. Anjou pears partner well with a range of flavors, from white wines to rich Stout beers. Serve Anjou pears on a cheese platter along with goat cheese, brie, and parmesan cheese crisps.
