Cosmic Crisp Apple Croissant Sandwich

New year, new recipes to try! With this flavorful recipe, you're getting the best of two worlds—a soft, buttery croissant accompanied by our fresh Cosmic Crisp® apples and strips of crispy bacon. Talk about balance. Piling on a savory mustard sauce and a few lettuce leaves makes for a great start to our year.


  • 2 organic Cosmic Crisp® apples
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tablespoons grainy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, minced
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 large croissants, split into halves
  • 6 strips of thick-cut bacon, cooked
  • 1 small head of Romaine or butter lettuce, washed and patted dry


  1. Core and thinly slice organic Cosmic Crisp® apples.
  2. Combine mayonnaise, grainy mustard, rosemary, sage, maple syrup, garlic, and onion powders.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread mustard sauce on each croissant's top and bottom halves.
  5. Layer the apple slices, bacon, and lettuce on the bottom halves, then place the tops on each sandwich.
  6. Cut sandwiches in half, if desired, and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
