Autumn Glory Apple Veggie Burger

These apple black bean veggie burgers are a flavorful, plant-based twist on a classic favorite. Made with hearty black beans, quinoa, and oats, they deliver a satisfying texture, while grated apples add a subtle sweetness and moisture. Easy to prepare and packed with wholesome ingredients, these burgers are perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or a fresh take on grilling season.

Ingredients

Burger

  • 1 (15.5 ounces) can of no-sodium black beans, rinsed and drained
  • ½ cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 tablespoons flax
  • ½ cup grated Autumn Glory® apples
  • ½ cup grated carrots
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (vegan Worcestershire sauce may be substituted)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • ½ tablespoon Montreal Steak seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons carrot juice
  • 1 cup oats

Toppings (optional)

  • Buns of choice
  • Additional Autumn Glory apple slices
  • Purple cabbage
  • chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place all burger ingredients in a food processor and pulse for approximately 2 minutes.
  3. Form mixture into burgers and place on a flat, parchment-lined baking sheet or in individual ramekins.
  4. Bake for about 30 minutes.
  5. Place on a bun and top with apple slices, purple cabbage, and even some crunchy chips!
