Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 stick of butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup grated Autumn Glory® apple
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Cream together butter and sugar for 5 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and continue mixing for another 2 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients, then slowly incorporate them into the wet ingredients.
  5. Once combined, fold in the grated apples.
  6. Grease an oven-proof skillet and pour the batter into an even layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden, but the center of the skillet cookie is still soft.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes, and then liberally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  8. Serve with ice cream if desired.
