Superfresh Year in Review 2024

As the year winds down and the festive season wraps up, it becomes the perfect time to reflect on the year gone by.

Every year, our journey starts with bloom. As winter fades, our trees awaken, adorned with fresh green leaves and delicate flowers. Each crop has its own rhythm; bloom and harvest follow that pattern when their time comes. Blueberries lead the charge, followed by cherries, pears, and finally apples- a symphony of nature unfolding throughout the growing season.

Spring brought cool temperatures this year- yet a welcome environment for our hard-working friends. The bees did their job beautifully, ensuring successful pollination across our crops.

Summer is always a balancing act. Blueberry harvest kicked off well, though occasional heat spikes posed challenges. Similarly, cherry season faced some heat with sunny and warm days, giving us exceptional cherries with vibrant flavors and quality. Pear harvest followed, and though it began with a lighter bloom and some areas experienced reduced yields, our pear quality remained high, delivering a sweet and juicy experience.

Apple season in Washington is always a highlight, and this year was no exception. The harvest yielded an impressive crop across all varieties, with excellent quality and flavors.

Reflecting on this past year, there’s much to celebrate. From the quality of our fruit to the lessons learned along the way, it’s been a year of growth and adaptation. We continually analyze what’s within our control and how to fine-tune our process to deliver the best fruit possible.
