Ingredients
Apple & Pear Filling
- 4 Bosc pears
- 6 Cosmic Crisp® apples
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 3 tablespoons melted salted butter
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
Gingerbread Cookie Crumble Topping
- ½ cup softened salted butter
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsulphured molasses
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup old-fashioned oats
Warm from the oven, spiced with gingerbread, and made to be shared. This apple-pear crumble is pure cozy in every bite.
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350 F.
- Peel and dice the pears and apples into ¼ inch cubes.
- In a large bowl, combine the diced fruit and all the filling ingredients. Toss until the fruit is evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 12-inch round baking dish.
- For the gingerbread crumble, cream the butter, sugar, molasses, and spices together in a medium bowl.
- Add the flour and oats, then use an electric hand mixer to beat the butter into the mixture until it is crumbly with a few large chunks.
- Spread the crumble evenly over the fruit.
- Bake for about 65 minutes or until the fruit is bubbling at the edges and the topping is golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
