The Numbers Behind the Orchard: Orchard Update, March 2026

In the orchard, everything starts with a vision, and a lot of numbers behind it.

When planting a new block, we’re not just thinking about the trees on the ground; we’re thinking about what that space will become. At full production, one acre can produce around 160,000 apples. To get there, every detail matters, from how far apart the trees are planted to how each branch is trained and managed throughout the season.

It’s a balance we’re constantly working toward. From adjusting through pruning, thinning, and careful management to making sure each apple has the space, sunlight, and resources it needs to develop into that perfect eating experience.
