Superfresh Growers® is ready to debut their signature apple, Autumn Glory®, annually at the PMA Fresh Summit this week. This crop has been anticipated all year, and the flavor is phenomenal. Autumn Glory is known for its unique caramel, cinnamon notes, and juicy crunch, a taste and texture combination that consumers look forward to season after season.
The Superfresh Growers® booth will be joined by influencers Kelly Pfeiffer of Nosh and Nourish and Nourish and Lindsey Johnson of Café Johnsonia. Each of them created recipes for Autumn Glory to show off the unique flavor characteristics of the apple. Friday, Superfresh Growers will feature Pfeiffer’s Autumn Glory Quesadilla and Autumn Glory Sangria. Saturday will be showcasing Johnson’s Baguette with Autumn Glory Chutney.
Kelly Pfeiffer, Cookbook Author and Blogger was featured last week on Good Morning America for her lunchbox Instagram series that features healthy meals for kids filled with fruits and vegetables. She emphasizes that social media (for lunchboxes) is about community, camaraderie, and parents inspiring parents with fun, creative ways to feed their kids. Her Instagram series, #NourishABC, features Superfresh Growers Organic Bosc pears for the letter S.
“We are proud to work with Kelly Pfeiffer, as she positively promotes easy, simple, and delicious recipes that produce forward,” comments Catherine Gipe-Stewart, Communications Manager. “Her presence in the booth brings an element of food knowledge and consumer savvy that elevates the Superfresh Growers and Autumn Glory apple brands. She understands our target demographic, speaks their language, and inspires parents to create affordable and healthy meals for their families.”
Autumn Glory apples will be sampled at the Superfresh Growers booth, #1373, on Friday and Saturday at PMA Fresh Summit. Autumn Glory apples are available worldwide and have become a nationwide favorite. Sales growth has been exponential, with Autumn Glory breaking into the United States' top 20 apple varieties in its second significant volume year. The 2018-2019 season will be the third year of substantial volume, and Superfresh Growers is excited to see continued growth.
Superfresh Growers owns the Autumn Glory apple and holds the exclusive worldwide rights to grow and sell this unique apple variety. Autumn Glory apples have a lovely, firm flesh with hints of cinnamon and subtle notes of caramel. The apple will be available this season from November through March, but as volumes increase, the apple will be available year-round. Superfresh Growers is a fifth-generation company that delivers flavorful, high-quality apples, pears, cherries, and apricots to families worldwide.
